Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period. The RN collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document the condition of pregnant patients during labor and delivery
• Monitor fetal heart rates and uterine contractions
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and anesthesia as prescribed
• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures (e.g., C-sections)
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
• Care for newborns immediately after birth, including initial assessments
• Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies and complications
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
